Craft Cafe

Serious blog neglect, sorry i've just been so busy that i totally forgot to post! :) Hollie's birthday was ages ago, and although theres no more cake left, there is one thing she still has to show for turning 12. This is the finished cross-stitched pillow i stitched for her that was a really lovely pattern to stitch as it was not too big to make it bore me after a while! The ribbon aroung the edge took FOREVER to stitch on but i like how it looks so all is forgiven! :) The next project is this margret serry design from a stitching mag, its the letter c with one of her adorable cats! i love this one :) Again this wont take to long stitch so i wont get sick, which happens alot with bigger projects! you know when you get that feeling like you have to do somthing nice but dont Know what. well that was me on monday for red nose day untill a freind asked me to help her, when i asked what she needed she said that she needed me to starve for 24 hours!!!! dont worrie she isnt tring to kill me i am doing a sponsored 24 hour famine wont that be fun from 8 am friday till 8am 0n saturday i cant have anything to eat so far ive been sponsored £30 no food for that long what ever will i do..... sammyjoxx

I spent all week trying to finish course work and my god its boring i think ill just have my own craft shop with my mum when im older. Then i will be able to sit and stitch all day long with a nice hot cup of tea and you never now i might even extend a cafe on to the side so people can come and have a cuppa and stitch if they get sick of being in the house! what do you think!! In othe news because of my school work i havent had time to stitch which is killing me! Hopefully i'll get some time to stitch at the weekend :) sammyjo xxx

Last christmas my mum asked me to do a me to you teddy for her in cross stitch and everything was perfect untill it came to the back stitch and then i messed the hole thing up i am so bad at tatty teddy its unbelievable so i told my mum id have to do something else insted and this is what i found! The pic is'nt every good but if you get the mag cross stitcher then you'll know that its havey! i really hope she likes him. sammyjo x P.S thank you for the lovly comment glenna

As well as cross-stitch i also love to do tapestry because its calming and the fabric does not give me a head ache and keeps my hands busy :) so far i've only managed to complete two whole peices but they are so cute that i think i will get the rest of the set and do them all! One thing i did not like about making this set was that when i started to make them into pillows for my pooh mad sister chelsea my machine broke down and i had to stitch them by hand which hurt unbelievably. the backing is red fur that was just to soft to pass up, and matched the colours on both pillows!

After my chelsea's birthday last month my youngest sister hollie asked me if i would stitch her a present insted of buying it! She asked for something purple and the only design i have that i thought she might like is this bear. The colours are light and dark purple with hints of green mixed in. It's probably going to take around 18 hours to get it stitched and made into a pillow for her so i got to go and get stitching :) sammyjo
